What to do with old Acoustic Foam?

Hi Slutz,

Rightnow im redesigning my mix/livingroom!

ive already build 17 new (10 cm & 15 cm thick) broadband absorbers!
thx for the inspiriation by the way

what should i do with the old acoustic foam?
(got 10 pieces, 2m x 1 m, 4 cm thick)

can i use it for something else?
like stacking 4 of them up for a new absorber,
roll it and put it in the corners or cut triangles out to build a superchunk!

i dont want to throw it away!

only got it on right side wall

got tips?

cheers thumbsup

Depending on the type of foam (if it is real acoustic foam) you can use then for general decay in the room. I would though double them up to make them as thick as possible.

I have a feeling it is stuff like Foam By Mail which has been proven NOT to work. Just don't use it for bass trapping or early reflection points as those are pretty important areas to get right.

ok, the foam is history!dfegad

the roomsound without the foam is very very "roomy"!
even my girl hears it!
i think the foam worked a lil bit, but nothing compared to 17 broadband absorbers!

shit now i need to paint out the hole room
