Found 703 ASJ?

I found a supplier of OC 703 that is local (1 hour away) and they said they have it only with a paper face or ASJ...whatever that is. They are 2 inch thick, I plan on doubling them for 4 inch thick. Will this stuff work? And what should I do with the facing?

my local supplier only had that version instead of the foil. i bought some of the ASJ and the regular, unfaced stuff. i used the 2" ASJ as the front layer (paper facing the room), and 1" regular for the back layer for my corner traps. i guess it works ok. i wouldn't buy the ASJ and try to rip off the facing. maybe if you're forced to only buy that version just turn the paper side toward the wall?

Yeah, I just got off the phone with them again. They said they stock FRK (foil) and ASJ (paper) but would have to order unfaced. I am looking at weeks for it to come in.

The product is 2 inch thick, I will be doubling for 4 inches. Should I go with the faced, or order and wait?

I'm pretty sure the asj/fsk is twice the price of unfaced of the same thickness. U could probably get away with using only faced stuff but if it were me I'd just wait. While you're waiting for the unfaced to come in see how muh money you save up and then buy some nice premade ones. I thought it was more trouble than it was worth even though the ones I made look nice and work.

I got a quote for OC703 FRK 2" X 2 X 4 @ 55.68 for a box of 6 sheets. I guess I'll go with it.

Another thought....I plan on doubling this stuff up, removing the facing off of all panels aside from the one facing the room

Then can I miter the edges and just screw them (big wahsers) into the corners (floor to ceiling) with no frames?

Then can I stick some of this Sonex 2" foam to the fronts to make them look pretty rather than buying fabric?
