Eight 6" Traps or Fifteen 4" Traps??

My Mixing room is small...about 8x11..ceiling height is 8'

so my question is will eight 6" traps in the corners be better than having Fifteen 4" traps all around the room...with the 4" i can have from the floor to ceiling straddled in the corners..

Also..will 2" mineral wool be good for the first reflection points and Ceiling Cloud?

i have 15 sheets of 2x4 of 4" mineral wool
and 9 Sheets of 2x4 of 2" mineral wool

Density is 4 pounds

thanxx

General rules are more coverage is better, given that the density is down (should be 60kg/m3 or 6lbs I think) you might be better off doubling up on the ceiling trap/RFZ, this will extend their response anyway so it's an added bonus.

For the most part the more area you cover the better it is. There is a point of diminishing returns (meaning the first 8 might get you 90% of the way there and it may take 8 more to improve by 5%), but play it safe and do the 14 4". BTW just to add (well kind of change) I would though go with 6" panels for the back wall (make 2 or 3). There are some nasty nulls and peaks coming from that area.

I agree with Scoobz, you have a 8' ceiling with a 8' width. It is going to play hell around 80hz or so.

You already got the right answer - more traps is better even if they're thinner - but here's the proof in case you'd like to see it:

Yea just like everything else you build you have to count in the 3 or 4 trips to Home Depot and the beer store! Plus the trip to the hospital after nailing your finger to a frame.
