Help me treat my dorm room! (pics)

Hi. Next year I'm going to be recording and mixing in my dorm room. Unfortunately, it's pretty small and cluttered with furniture, but I would move it if that would be better.

I'm not sure how much can be done, but here are the pictures;
The room is 14 ft by 12 ft.

I would face the left wall and pull it back a couple feet (OR SO). See the following for acoustic set up.

Are you going to be recording or only mixing in this room?

There are plans on the internet to build lofts inside of dorm rooms. You can put your bed and some other stuff up there and save a bunch of space! It seems like a huge ordeal at first glance but with a volunteer or two (dad an a friend?), it can be done in a day before dinner.

Look into it and if you're interested order a couple pizzas, get a case of beer, and have at it with some help!

Thanks guys for the responses
Unfortunately I can't loft my bed b/c they are bunk beds. Fortunately, my roommate is in my band so he won't be a problem for recording!

My question is how am I supposed to Install bass traps and other things that are supposed to be on the wall when there is virtually no wall space? Should I put traps on furniture?
