Where to get 703 in or around Philadelphia

Anyone got any idea where I can get some Owens 703 near Philly?

Thanks!

EDIT: I jumped the gun a bit on this post, Owens has a retail store locator on there site. It looks like quite a few places in Philly carry 703 (Home Depot, Lowes, etc).

I would call the Home Depot before making a trip. Most places like Home Depot and Lowes do not carry it.

Yeah, haven't seen any 703 at home depot or lowes around here. I get mine from an insulation dealer out in Oaks, PA called SPI. Their contact info can be found through this site.

You can just walk in and tell them what you want, but it's probably a good idea to contact them to make sure they have what you want in stock that day. Last time I was out there they said they'd have to special order 703 without facing but i ended up just taking a carton with the facing for an extra $15 bucks or something and made myself a very lovely pair of 6" traps with FSK on the front (took the facing off inner layers of course).

If you need something closer to the city, you can try googling insulation supply companies in the area.

Another option to try is looking in the Yellow Pages for HVAC contractor suppliers. Call them directly and work some s**T out!!!

Call and HVAC contractor. They usually get it from supply warehouses such as 2Jays:

2J Supply - HVAC University

I used to work HVAC with my father and it was a blast to be honest. I made a lot of money, and my dad would call in orders for some 703. I got a 4x8 sheet for about $35.

I just placed an order with them. I got 18 2" panels of 703 without facing (two boxes of nine). $190 or so total, seems like a great deal compared to other prices I have seen online. The women said the order should be in one day next week. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

SPI has great pricing, but it looks like the prices went up again... Then again, what isn't getting more expensive?

There was someone posting here a coupla weeks ago who said that SPI wasn't carrying Owens Corning products anymore. Figured he was wrong... SPI is like the 3rd largest distributor of OC rigid insulation in the US.

Glad you got it, and at a good price too!

SPI gave me two boxes of 12! Total cost was around $190. I was quoted that they came in boxes of 9. Looks like I will be making twelve 4 inch bass traps!
