Thread Starter | Covering the backs of panels for reflection points OK?
Hi I'm thinking of making some of these on Friday: shaman´s absorber build thread I plan to put them either side of me at mixing position, roughly 2 inch thick. Is there a problem with these, given that the frame design means that the backs are covered with the fiberboard stuff? Does that really change the acoustic properties of the trap? Thanks! Eddie

The back doesn't matter if it's against a wall. It's only an issue for bass traps straddling corners. --Ethan

It only matters if you plan on mounting it off the wall a few inches to help absorb more of the mids and low end. I myself think it is worth the effort, but what you are thinking of doing would not be "wrong", so to speak.
