RPG Hemiffusor for back wall, small room?

I've got a small room (10' x 13' x 8') and have significant absorption/bass trapping almost everywhere—sounds nearly anechoic.

I'd love to bring back some air in the room, was thinking of replacing some of the bass traps on the back wall (and putting them elsewhere in the room) with 4x RPG Hemilffusors. It's relatively cheap, looks okay, and will provide some nice midband absorption for my small room. Are those a good option?

Mix position is around 8 ft from the back wall. Is that enough?

Is it worth doing any diffusion in such a small room?

Thanks!

I can't speak to that specific product, but diffusion could definitely work in a room that size assuming your speakers are setup to fire the longer way down the room etc.

Yep, yep they are. Thanks Ethan.

Would any sidewall diffusion work also, or is that pretty usual for a room this size?

In a small room like that, you will almost certainly need bass trapping in the rear wall as well.

If you do tracking in the room, then diffusion on the side walls at the rear can be useful, though your room is kinda small for that.

It depends where. My recent video Hearing is Believing lets you hear the improvement in a small room with diffusion all around the room. But I would not use diffusion at the side-wall or ceiling reflection points. My living room is 16 feet wide, and when I replaced the absorption at those points with diffusion as a test, the sound was noticeably worse with diffusion. But everywhere else is great, especially behind you.
