Room EQ questions

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to mix in a small room with disappointing bass results, which led me to this forum and many other little journeys of discovery

Here is a sample plot of the room from REW. The rom is 13' X 11.5' and has 8' ceilings. I had a few questions.

1.) What is the best way to get started on restoring the bass end to this room?

2.) I have the option of moving the setup to a converted attic which is considerably bigger. It is 27' X 18' and it's 8' tall in the middle. However, due to the roof, only about half of the ceiling is 8'. The side walls are 5' and then go up to 8' at about a 60 degree angle. Would this room be a better candidate? (I have nerve damage in my hands so moving heavy objects is a very slow/tedious process-hence I have not tried this room out).

Thanks

PS - don't know if this is relevant but I'm using Mackie 824's.

A dozen or more bass traps.

That would be a very good move, regardless of the ceiling. But attics have other problems, like noise from rain and terrible heat in the summer.

Ethan's 150% right on all counts. I've got a good-size attic that I'd never use this time of year. I'm pretty sure it's about 200 degrees up there right now.
