Just stack the fiberglass and wrap it.

1)Its better then putting it in a wooden frame right? cause the wood is reflecting?

2) How do you hold them together so they wont mess up the square shape?

3)What do you use to hang them?

4)How many standard Owens corning 703 would you put in a single bass trap to make it decent?

5)do you staple the fabric to the back fiberglass plate?

Thanks!

A wood frame has a huge convenience factor. And, there really isn't that much reflection (it's a small fraction of the total surface area if you build it reasonably).

I agree with tINY. A wood frame makes things a lot easier and it doesn't detract from the functionality of the panel at all.

The fabric wrap should hold them together.

Heavy duty picture hanging hooks, L-brackets, sheetrock anchors and screws...tons of options here.

At least two to make a 4" trap (assuming you're using 2" batts). You can use three or four batts to make 6" or 8" traps too though. The thicker the trap the lower it will absorb.

Back fiberglass plate? I'm not sure what you mean here, but if you simply wrap the batts and use spray adhesive to bind everything together on the back you ought to be fine.

Yes having open sides is always better, but don't let that stop you from getting started. You could also cut holes in the wood to let sound through.

Easy 1hr Trap and Cloud

I made mine like Ron T and minimized the amount of wood (for cost in my circumstances).

Yea I Would definitely go with the wood frame... Its so thin it will hardly make any difference if any. It also gives you that airspace which is necessary in absorbing low frequency waves as well as protecting the struture of your panels.

OR

...if you really want to avoid the frame take a look at these fiberglass installation clips from acoustimac. Acoustic Treatment Panels and Bass Traps - IMPALING CLIPS INSTALLATION HARDWARE FOR ACOUSTIC PANELS
I haven't used them but it seems like a pretty clever idea and they only cost about $0.50...
