The dog tested my room absorption...well sort of.

After putting bass traps in my room in the vertical corners, the family dog immediately started doing all his napping in my music room. I know that isn't a very scientific way to test your room, but it kinda makes you think the treatment is doing SOMETHING!

I love this post. I am always paying close attention to my cats when working. There are times they will hang out for hours, including marching across the console, and others when they just get up mid-mix, look at me and saunter out. I have to admit I pause for a second when that happens and think "did I just add to much high end to the overheads?"

I also have one cat that will sleep in one of my acoustic guitar cases, but never sleeps in the other... ever. They are identical cases and I don't pay particular attention to which guitar is in which case. Weird. And now we have dancing birds who only likes certain songs... pay attention to our furry & feather friends!

Maybe there was some high end or other reflections/nodes in the room that were buggin' pooch? Or they like the smell of rigid fiberglass?
