Thread Starter | Density vs. Thickness
Hey everybody I recently bought a low budget recording setup for my band with some advice from these forums. Now I am looking to take the next step and make the room sound decent. I have a good supplier of mineral wool, but only in 8lb/cuft density. From what I have read here, most people are doing 4 or more inches for bass trapping, and 2 inches for broadband trapping, but at much lower densities. Is this denser material still useful for acoustic insulation? If so, how should I adjust thickness accordingly? Thanks, Dylan |
