I am a little confused. Surely if one believes in treating rooms independently then measuring the room is a good idea? and the best way to communicate the results for peer assessment and feedback would be to post them?

Owens-Corning fiberglass insulation isn't available in Europe. I called them up about it and they asked me if I wanted to be a distributor. Anyway, Rockwool is available which works well too.

I found Rocksilk which is usally cheaper and comes in better dimensions for making super chunks 1200mm x 600mm. Where the Rockwool is 1000mm x 600.

Agreed,
This is a major part of "doing it yourself",
Its always smart to consult other people.

Where did you buy it from? All I can find in Belgium is 60mm thick Rockwool, and it's 800mm x 500mm, cut in half diagonally.

Just use Safe 'N' Sound from homedepot and make a wooden frame for it. If you're really set on rigid fibre glass, Roxul makes Rockboard 40 and 60 as well.
