Guilford of Maine Fabric Supplier in Ontario?

Hey-O

Anyone know of any companies that sell Guilford of Maine FR701 Fabric in Toronto, Ontario, or Canada?

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks,
n

You may want to contact Guilford of Maine and ask them. Give them a call.

Google yields this result:

Company Profile - Guilford of Maine (Canada) Inc

Not sure if this is legit or not as I have not contacted them myself. But I am looking for some good acoustically transparent fabrics to cover some DIY 703 panels myself and a buddy have just made. (We have taken a lot of video as well and will be posting on my website soon, I will be sure to post back as soon as we get that edited and uploaded).

Let me know if you find anything good.

GOM no longer has a Canadian rep, they used to have Interface Fabrics in Montreal but that's done. Your best bet is to order directly from GOM and they will UPS directly to you.

Acoustically transparent is not really needed for covering absorbers. Of course, it does matter if you put fabric in front of a diffusor or in front of a loudspeaker. But for covering absorbers all that matters is that the fabric not be reflective. If a fabric absorbs a little more on its own that's fine. So inexpensive fabrics like burlap and felt are fine, and both of those are available in many colors.
