Bass trap advice needed

i'm going to build gobo style bass trap with rockwool i will have 2" of very high density, 138kg/cubic meter sized 100x60 cm to put in corners 3 of them to fill the whole height.

my question is :
is it better to go with 2"+ 2"air gap +2"
or 4" with no air gap
or material like plywood or so in between the panels, in front etc...?

When bass traps straddle a corner you don't need any additional air gap. So just make them 4 inches thick.

No, use plain rockwool.

Love your place, man.

Definitely skip the plywood...make sure they're at least 4" thick for the corners.

Thank you very much for sharring your knowlage out of your biznes.

thank you franck for the kind word about the studio, the desk i made for the studio gives it a nice touch despite it is without a big console and is very friendly to use.
the traps are for the ceilling of the control room, but most part will be used in the tracking rooms.
