Is 2" rigid Rockwool comparable to 2" O-W 705 for bass trap use?

Im curious about this due to the fact that, locally here, the rockwool is less than 1/2 the price of the 705.

I am told that this 2" thick rockwool is very rigid, and has an 8-pound density. Can I use this in the corners the same way as others are using 705....will it work as well? Of course, I'd want to use double layers, so as to have a 4" total thickness...right????

Many thanks in advance!
Terry

Oh yea rockwool works just the same as 705. The only thing is you really need to build a frame so it will not sag over time. 705 would loss it shape also without a frame, but not as quick. All and all 705 is just easier to work with.
