Breathable Fabric/Plastic???

I'm confused about this. It's been said one could buy fluffy fiberglass and leave it in the plastic. Then you also see that when you use a fabric in building bass traps, make sure it's breathable. But plastic is not breathable.

Plastic is reflective, but it only reflects ultra high frequencies. Bass seems to run straight through it. So basically as long as you have something breathable to muffle out your pingy highs, leaving the plastic on wont cause a problem.

Also if you're making a iso-fort for a guitar cabinet or anything like that your mic wont hear the reflection anyways.

You really only need to worry about breathable fabric if you are also wanting to absorb the high end.
