Thread Starter | Owens Corning 705 question
I'm going to be getting some owens corning 705 2" panels soon for bass trapping. The pack only comes with 6 and I hear 4" is normally what you would use for bass traps. So what do you suggest I do? Also, I'm going to be moving them frequently because I am in a college house right now (finished attic). I think I may just wrap them in fabric and throw them in the corners. nothing permanent. Any suggestions?

should i put 2 4" traps where bass is most effected in the room and use the others for early reflections?? or use 2 4" traps and then 2 2" traps? Any other suggestions?

one pack of it is not really going to make a HUGE impact in the room, but I guess I would start with 2 4" panels straddling the front corners and 2 2" panels in the early reflection points on the left and right wall. Do you have a diagram of the room and or pictures you can post? Glenn

see that's the thing. I'm going to be in my attic for like 6 months then an apartment probably for a year then who knows. I want to be able to transport them. My attic has 7' high ceilings and is pretty long (little over 20' probably). The early reflections aren't a HUGE problem because the walls are slanted down. I tried putting a mirror up on the wall and moving it around to see where the speaker was and I can treat the 2 spots but i believe they're being reflected right into the ground anyways. I really want to focus on bass mainly right now. Would getting 12 2" 703 panels be better than 6 2" 705 panels?

aaactually. Which option would be better. 12 1" 703 panels or 6 2" ? Would 1" not really give me anything in early reflection spots? like possible above drums (below rafters)?
