Bass traps for irregular corners

Due to a wall mounted desk/bench, I only have about 14" of space on the front wall for a bass trap. I could go with a 12"x12"x17" super chunk, but that's a lot of cutting triangles from 4'x2' panels. Since I have over 2' of space on the side wall, I could cut the panels in half (to 2'x2') and build a 2'x1'x2'. Would this be effective?

Thanx, D

It will "kind of" work, but really no way to give you a solid answer without testing in a lab. I would say NO it will not and go ahead and fill the whole area, would be the safe way to go. Better said if I had to bet I would put my money on the "NO".

Maybe I didn't describe it well, or I'm not understanding you, but I am filling the whole area. Instead of a triangular shape (1'x1'x17"), this would be a square (1'x2'). Wouldn't this be similar to an Elite Table Trap (sans the beautiful wood of course)?

Thanx, D

No, I meant the table trap.

Here's the two pics I tried to attach before:

The red blocks are the bass traps.
