Thread Starter | My French style mid/high absorbers and superchunks As promised here are a few pics of my mid/high absorbers and corner traps. The absorbers are made from the same metal studs as the clouds. Each frame consists of 4 lengths of metal and is simply riveted together and spray painted. ![]() Cara fabric is then fixed, slightly stretched, with a glue gun to the inside of the frame. A panel of cotton insulation 50mm thick is placed inside. The frames simply hang from two screws fixed in the wall as they have a metal "lip" which stops them from falling. By the end each panel was taking 30mins tops from start to finish. ![]() ![]() My corner superchunks are pretty standard 34" faced but made from 200mm thick cotton. On the left hand side I had to incorporate the ventilation entry into the frame as this is where the air enters the room. The exit is through a similar grill in a superchunk at the rear. Cheers Driller PS Oh yeah and I'm fairly proud of my homebuilt console! It's amazing how a bit of T-Moulding can make an amateur desk look pro. I fixed some heavy duty castors underneath so it can be wheeled aginast the wall to create a bit more room for rehearsals. |
