Thread Starter | Thickness of acoustic foam products
I'm looking at two different foams. They are the same price, but one is substantially thicker than the other. Any thoughts as to which would be more effective? I have seen the stats for the thinner foam and it seemed perfectly adequate, but thought I'd check if the other is would be a more viable option. It really depends what you are going for but all and all, if you have enough bass trapping in the the room you could get away with the thinner stuff for the early reflection points. I would just not use a ton of it in the room as it may end up over damping the highs and leaving to much low end ringing in the room. Glenn
