Need some acoustic help for my room/home studio. PICS AV.

hola! I'm just moved to Mexico and I'm making a small studio to record my demos for big studio. I'm trying to make it sound the best possible with no Isolating or acoustic treatment and I'd like some advise on locating the speakes (distance from the back wall, lateral etc...) I just put some foam in the corners so I don't get too much unwanted low end. Here are the pics, and please don't hesitate in saying if you see anything wrong or any suggestions. everything is welcome. Oh yes, just to let you know. My speakers are adam 7 and I got the treble volume 2 db up of the normal. The studio is still being done but I want to be prepared for fixing the sound thing asap so I can try all of the suggestions.
the listening spot for mixing would be where the chair is, not where the keyboard (just there to be weighted with the table legs... thanks!

Thanks!

Do you have a diagram you can post of the room? You DO NOT want your speakers in the corner like that as it will just build up low end.

What is your objection to acoustic treatment? In a room the size of yours, you'll never get great results without having bass traps and absorbers at the reflection points.

I suggest knocking up some timber frames, filling with rockwool & covering with fabric, then moving them around to control the room somewhat - just mounting them a few inches orf the wall can really help, we've made about 5 in a day so it's pretty easy.

I'm definitely no expert but that little hole in the wall cannot be a great place to mix from. As someone pointed out your speakers that close to the wall/corner are going to hype your low end and I don't think you'll be able to fix that putting treatment that will fit in that tight of an area.

Yeah, I had my setup in a similar hole, and it colored the sound horribly. Once I got a seperate desk, it made everything sound MUCH better. Also (and I need to get some of these too) see if you can get some monitor isolation pads, because as is, your desk appears to be connected to the wall, and sound will be reverberating in your walls all over the place, and it will NOT sound the way you want.

Good luck with your setup, man! I'm in the process of putting mine together too, so if you hear any good tricks/tips, let me know.
