Ultratouch vs cotton panels

Hello again. For those of you who have been following my treatment dilemmas, I have some more questions that I am hoping to get some advice from you cats. After studying my options, I am considering rigging some panels to start with basic treatment of my room. I am thinking of using some clips (kinda like heavy duty chip clips ) and clipping these to the tops of the panels and then hanging them in my corners(across from wall to wall straddling the corners). I know it's not ideal,but I think it might be better than nuthin'. My concerns are about the waight of the materials that I plan to use and I am afraid that if it is too heavy that it might start to fray, sag, or break at the hanging points. Therefore, which of the following would you suggest?.....

Also, do you think this stuff REALLY reduces the volume by 60% like they claim. If so, I might consider it for the wall that I share with my neighbor.

The Ultratouch works really well acoustically, but no way it will hold up to hanging very long.
