Knauf "black board"

Is anyone familiar with a product called Knauf "black board". It's a rigid fiberglass product that is entirely black. A friend of mine that works at a warehouse that sells various insulation products gave me several 2 x 4 panels of this stuff. He said that it had the same absorption specs as OC 703. Can anyone confirm this? He also gave me three 4 x 8 panels of OC 703, although one side of the panel is black and the other is yellow. Can anyone confirm that this is good stuff to use?

Right now, I have Auralex in my control room and was looking to put some fiberglass in my drum/live room. Would this be the best use of the treatment that I have available?

Lightbulb

I'm sure that Knauff board is fine, but it needs to be at least four inches thick for bass traps. If yours is thinner than that, stack the panels adjacent to make them thicker.
