could water help?

I was thinking about RealTraps - Planter Traps .
If i put a big bottle of water (10L) in each corner, would that help?

My reasons for thinking about this:
- i heard that mass helps stop sound, so.. water is pretty heavy, no?
- that foam you use works because it's somehow elastic, it bounces the sound in within, so.. water is pretty elastic right?
- relatively cheaper..

Also think about extending this idea (more than bottles ) .

Not even a little. Sorry.

But bass traps need to absorb sound, not block it.

aha, got it, thanks.

Just to be clear on this, i was talking about plastic recipient, PET.
If it blocks bass, then hmm... i could use that to my advantage.
I hope that either it blocks it or it absorbs it.
After all, 10kg must mean something.

Maybe disrupting continuous surfaces (walls), because of it's cylindrical form.
Or maybe preventing the sound from amplifying in my room corners, or anywhere else.

I'll let go of this water idea, because it's pretty crazy and inefficient it would seem..
Was just curious about what effect would a water-wall have on sound.
