bass traps, absorbers, diffusors... explain?

(New to treatment) There are so many ways to treat your room! Can these be explained: what they are and do. I don't know if any of these terms are redundant or not.

Bass traps
membrane traps
broadband absorbers
diffusors
gobos....
etc

Briefly:

Broadband absorbers and membrane traps are 2 kinds of bass traps, and are based on absorption.

Diffusors work by scattering sound evenly in all directions, as opposed to absorbing it.

Gobos are a barrier to sound, designed to stop sound from passing through (though frequencies with wavelengths longer than the dimensions of the gobo will simply diffract around the gobo).
