| Cutting Rockboard I tried a search, but came up empty. What's the best way to cut Rockboard to get a clean, accurate edge? I only have room for 1' wide ceiling/wall corner traps, so I need to split two pieces of Rockboard. How do you superchunk folks cut the stuff? ![]()

| I'm interested in this as well... I have some 703 that will need to be cut. |

| Turns out a good, sharp pocket knife and a straightedge work just fine.

| Yep - I used a straight edge and one of those cheap long razor blades where can you can adjust the length (not the "standard" razor blade shape). It worked like a charm on the OC703 and gave me a nice clean edge without letting too many fibers in the air. I saw some guy on YouTube or somewhere cut 703 with an electric knife...yeah, that's just nasty. |

| I've found that a good serated kitchen knife works really well also. |

Since I started the DIY bass trap project, I've found that the turkey knife and staplegun are my best friends...

What I remember seeing in that video was a bunch of loose fibers and "frayed ends" on the fiberglass...maybe his knife sucked or was dull - who knows...but I don't remember it being a clean process at all.
