Auralex diffusors

Dear Friends,
Are the Auralex styrofoam diffusors worth installing? Does the styrofoam absorb as well as diffuse?
Thanks,
Gary

Styrofoam is closed cell foam and will reflect sound (depending on the density). It will not absorb. The effectiveness of the diffuser will depend upon the design and the depth....which were you thinking of?

Auralex diffusors

Likely a bunch of the DST-R. My room sounds good. Hoping these will make it better. Just hoping to make the upper mids and highs, sweeter.

The DST-R's.....I would save your money. These are so thin that they are really not going to be of much help. The Auralex Space Array is effective as a diffuser down to about 2 Khz, the DST-R's are only 1/4 as deep as the Space Array.
