So i finally started building 6 broadband bass traps ( 24"x48"x4") to put in my new studio.
So far not that hard to build. I just finished 1, and still have 5 more to go (put insulation and fabric)

I spent arround $30 us on pine wood, $30 on fiberglass panels (12 units, 24"x48" 2" thick... these are kind of fluffy kind of rigid, i think its normal reading another posts... dunno about the density tho, that's the only thing i could find in "panels", all the rest were just fluffy fiber and mineral glass "rolls"..
And the fabric were about $20 for all 6 panels.

These are some pictures of the construction... please tell me what you think

Cheers

Thanks dude, im pretty satisfied with the results so far... im only worried tho about the fiberglass density tho but i have faith it will do ok

About the fabric... it was the cheaper fabric i could find in a "fabric store".. I asked. show me the cheaper one. and i just picked that color.. Actually its a great looking fabric.. Its pretty thin and super soft. Dunno about the specific name of it mate.

About the Pine, I bought it at HomeDepot.pretty cheap wood her ein Chile and actually, its a shame that i covered it. because the layering of the wood is beautifull.. it would look bad ass with some stain and stuff

cheers

I drilled some holes on the sides of the remaining frames, to improve absorption.

very nice man.

Now you will have more absorption and less weight thumbsup.

you could also drill all the sides too

BTW here is how I place the panels to the walls

Nice idea!
What about the top ? Two squares as well or just one? Care to take a pic of the top side?

god****ingdamnit!!!!!!!

I just found out that my "rigid" fiberglass panels are something like 18 kg/m3 !!!!dfegad

tutt

I'll have to take those suckers out of my panels ASAP
I found another panels. but like 1" thick that are 80 kg/m3 so i'll have to put like 5 on each panel

God i hate this country
