Thread Starter | MY FIRST TRAP!
Hey guys, First, Thanks for the help! I really appreciate it. Following the Real Accoustics DIY Guide to making a Bass Trap, I've finally completed my first one! Check out the pics out from the process. I used RockWool instead of the common 703. This was made to be a Broadband Trap: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() That's one down. I have enough supplies for 2 more. Heh and all this and so far I only paid about $60 (because i bought expensive ass fabric from what it seems lol). The others are probably going to be black or smoke to match the carpet. Anyway I'm happy lol. It's got this curve thing going on which even though wasn't intentional, still looks kinda cool .

I'm building 12 of these the same way at this moment. I added an extra step and made a 2x4 frame out of drywall corner bead so that I can get more of a squared look. | |

Good job HUFO_2000! Do you know the density of the material you used? It should be listed on the package in #/cubic foot or Kg/cm^3. Jason |

Hahahaha....is that you in pic 4 ??? great look...lol If you´d look at me like that after I just finished a guitar take I´d immediatly reach over for the erase button !!! ![]() ![]() good job on the trap, the fabric looks kinda cool and looks & works just sooo much better than the foam-blocks! I think if add two more in a less "crazy" finish...e.g. light grey or something like that, that would look great! and if you take down the foam, you could just use it to kill reflections during clos-miking amps, drums etc. cheers tom
