Rockwool Question

A local distributor has 4" rockwool for a good price. However, it is sold in a bag that has 32 sq ft of rockwool. The bag is comprised of either 4 8'x1' panels or 8 4'x1' panels. I plan to make 6'x2' broadband absorbers. This would mean some cutting and side-by-side stacking to match the rockwool dimensions to the panels. My questions are:

Is it okay to have several different pieces or rockwool put sibe-by-side together within a single absorber? Will it decrease performance to do it this way? Anything I should know?

Thanks!
Matt

Shouldn't matter....I have cut and mixed and matched with 703 for years..Always get good results. By the way, you can get rockwool in 4'x2' panels. This would make your cutting easier.
