surround speaker reflections

does anybody know where the surrroung speaker reflections are. i'd like to put panels up to absorb them for my 7.1 system?

Sit in your mix position and have a friend move a mirror around the perimeter of the room. Everytime you see the tweeter of one of the speakers, that's a reflection point and should be dealt with. This includes ceilings and floors!

In addition/confirmation of Bruce.
That means that are a lot of points.
Further all these speakers create some complicated interference patterns.

Either it is extensive measuring or applying lots of absorption.

Besides the usual reflections points at the side walls and ceiling (and floor), the wall behind you is an often-overlooked source of reflections. If the wall is less than ten feet behind you, those reflections are considered early. BTW, when a mirror is not practical you can calculate reflection points as described here:

RealTraps - How To Set Up a Room

Also, it's not just "points" that need treating, but a larger surrounding area. How large an area you need to cover depends on the distances involved.
