| My mixing room (bedroom in my house!) is 11ft x 10.5ft with height of 8.25ft. I have a small curtained window to my right (maybe room to put a corner trap between wall and floor) and a door behind me in the left corner (no room to put any type of corner trap there) as I sit in front of my Genelec 1029a monitors (no subwoofer . . . yet!?). I want to buy some realtraps (I’m in Ireland. Best place to order?) My main question. If money were no object how do I best acoustically treat the room (absorption, diffusion?) Thanks |

| I may have another option. I could record and mix in the same room perhaps and its size is 14.66 x 13 feet with an 8 foot ceiling. That room has a 6ft 6inch grand piano in it and is carpeted. i would probably have to look out a large window as i mix and there would be double doors behind me. Would it be better for me to invest in acoustic treatment for that room instead. |
