which one is the best for vocals? Besides price. I've heard basically all three are the best so does anyone have any hard proof.

All three work and work just fine, but my thoughts are the PVB is bigger so over all it should work better. I have not used any of them but size wins when it comes to acoustics.

that seems to my my idea too. But just looking at your room kits #3 is basically what i would need for my listening environment. But also if i had a similar room that i was recording in. See, I work at a video production studio but i'm starting to integrate pro tools and recording in there too. The space is limited so i just convert one of the sweets into a recording booth but it has very little treatment just one wall with some form. Would all those bass traps etc help out significantly. I was wanting to use the pvb for a bandaid fix but i know a treated room wins over these little portable booths.

Well yes treating the room is a MUST and will result in a much better controlled sound. These products are great in a pitch but DO NOT replace room acoustics in any way shape or form.
