Thread Starter | Does a corner bass trap have to be precisely 45 degrees?
OK, this may very well be a stupid question, but I need to ask it before I start sticking hooks in the wall. I am getting ready to treat a space with Ready Bags (great value, by the way; thanks, Joel and Jeff) filled with OC 703. In order to get all of the panels to fit in the space properly, I need to set the bass traps that straddle the corners at something other than a 45 degree angle. It will probably be something like 30 degrees on one side and 60 degrees on the other. This is fine, right? Does anyone think this will have an adverse effect on the room treatment? Thanks in advance for your help. |

No it does not, depth is the main thing, a 45 just makes it easier most of the time.

There's nothing cloak and dagger about the fact that I haven't asked the guys at Ready Acoustics this question. I happened to think of this while I am at work, I found time to send a quick post while I'm sitting here at my desk, this forum is free, so I asked. I could go ask Joel and Jeff the same question, but that wouldn't give me of the opinions of all you fine folks.
