I'm wondering if anyone here knows of any good places in the Minneapolis area to get a room treated? I've searched but I'd like to hear of what other people have done...

Your two choices are DIY or buy commercial treatment. If you DIY it's up to you to figure out what you need and how to make it and hang it and where. If you buy commercial treatment you'll pay a little more, but you'll generally get better results and you'll also have someone to tell you exactly what you need and where to put it. It's not necessary to find someone local. Every day I help people all over the world with their rooms.
