Acoustic panels on mic stands

I just found a company that sells rock wool in my town. I ordered the 8lb stuff and then found out the density is really not the key factor. Any way I'm going to change it to the 3lb stuff because its cheaper and probably easier to handle.

I need some pointers on how to fasten them to some mic stands. We are going to be using them as a portable vocal booth among other things.

I would maybe weld a small T shaped metal bar to the botton of the mic stand which the panels will sit on,
Also build a T shaped wooden bar extension on the top of the panel and use some strong straps to secure it in place.
take in mind that the panels are heavy so you need to build it to be durable.

Wood frames with wood legs. Wood is cheap, easy to cut, sturdy (depending on the type of wood), and will give you clean looking panels in the end result.

I built my panels with 8pcf minwool, surrounded by a wood frame, then wrapped in burlap. Here is a link to my acoustic project which is ongoing right now. Pics will be added throughout the process. I am also thinking of puting some panels on stands incase I need to record vocals or just to move around when i'm bored.
