Thread Starter | Mix Room build! hey guys, I have been building this mix room for an institution over the past few weeks. I thought I would post some pics of the room. I designed the layout of the room and have been working on it for quite a while. The room sounds great without the diffusers that I will be installing tomorrow. The board isnt the best, but it actually sounds pretty good and never has any 'issues' something I am not accostomed to with large consoles. The place is a mess becuase it is under construction, but so far, this place is sounding great. Just playing CDs int he room is making me amped on finishing it out. There is a whole bunch of outboard and a pair of mains that I have not installed yet. HD3 accel, tones of plugs, lots of outboard (almost), and a decent mix room with a good sized vocal booth... The ceiling has black cement with huge cement Ibeams running through it. They are the support structure for a 1906 17 story train staion/management building. thats it for now.. |

| The color of that door on the back left reminds me of my mom's lemon meringue pie. Good stuff. You might want some treatment back there or it could get a litlle slappy. Looks good. Tell us some more about the building - do trains still go through it? |

Thread Starter | Yes, the doors are the institution paint colors, Cant change that... Check it out !!!!! its done. Finally, after a broken spine and 6 speratic months of work. I am not the studio designer, just the manager, but I guess I am both. Add that into the 6 other jobs I do there and I got about 8. needless to say, things take time. But it is all fun. |
