Acoustic Treatment

I need to treat my room. Its only 2m X 3m so get lots of reflection. I'm renting so can't go glueing foam to the walls. Does anyone know any good products that would help this situation. Looked at the GhostAcoustics system but can't find it for retail anywhere. Looks good though.

Thanks for any help...

There are many. You may want to do a google search under bass traps or acoustic panels. You can buy panels that will just hang on the wall to not use glue and are made out of rigid fiberglass or mineral wool.

I picked up some of Glenn's panels from GIK and man, they made a world of difference.

Just looked at the site and was wondering, do I go with the Monster trap or the new Tri trap or a combo for bass trapping in room?

It would depend on your room. What I would highly recommend is email me some pictures of your room and layout if you can. We can then come up with the best set up for you room and try are hardest to keep you in a budget you might have in mind. We can give you one on one service that way. email address is glenn.k@gikacoustics.com

Ive been checking out your website alot and comparing it to other materials and for the price GIK seems to be the best I can find...seems relatively affordable and comparable to more expensive materials ive read about. Any way you guys could help me out with my room setup and some suggestions. Not sure how much i would need?

Look into pressed hemp as your absorption material. It's chemically inert and fibers are not a health hazard like fiber glass and related products are.

I know several people who have developed sensitivites to traditional types of acoustic materials. I have seen hemp used effectively and its also mold resistant for high humidity areas. Europe uses a lot of hemp for insulation, etc and we will see this trend grow in North America.

Good Luck

I've tried hemp over and over for tightening up my mixes.

Instead I just end up with munchies and bizarre political leanings, instead...

BTW-

Bass traps are swell but broadband absorbers kick the sh*t out of most commercial bass traps. Just ask Ethan...

Sergio.

Have you looked at the prices of comparable treatments from other vendors? Not to come across as selling but we ARE the solution for those on a budget.
