Concur. GIK traps are excellent. The whole crew at GIK is helpful and friendly, as well.

Ah here we are. -just the thread I was looking for. Just thought I'd drop in and say I'm almost ready to order a room kit from GIK. (sent Glenn a PM). There's a few things about my room that need to be addressed; I have a walk-in closet that is hidden behind 3 sliding doors, and that is what makes up the back wall of the room...thin, wooden doors. -only one door can slide open at a time, reveling a 2 foot deep space of hangers and 2 upper shelves. I can slide open the doors a bit on each side as well... I'm going to post pics up tomorrow morning. I'm hoping Glenn and whoever else can recommend the best position for the desk and monitors to go, and which room kit. until then, I've been enjoying all the rave reviews that GIK has gotten. -hopefully this will be a blessing for my Mackie 824 mk2's that have been reduced to half room mode for a month since I moved into the new apt. I would recommend sending us your info over at GIK Acoustics: Room Setup so we can give you some personal room advise. It can be hard to answer all your questions through a online forum. | |

Does GIK products use material such as glassfiber media or mineral wool? I don't want DIY absorbers because they contain glassfiber. Regards Raptor |
