| Gear maniac | LINE 6 Variax Acoustic 300 Nylon Anybody have this guitar? Any opinions about sound? I´m very interested... I haven´t any mics and good rooms to record, but I still want to record nylon guitar (I played classical guitars for many years...). It is useful for pro or semi-pro records? Thanks a lot!

| I don't own that model, however, I do own a similar body-style of a different brand (Marquês). My experience is that it is not much fun to play unless you are playing into an amp/headphone situation. The pezio works okay for recording, but it definatly lacks some of the acoustic qualities, as well as having some string-noise challenges (meaning that the pezio picks up every little thing your fingernail does on the string). Not knowing how much this guitar costs, you might be better off investing in a halfway decent mic, and recording in a bad room... I don't know, though. It is really up to your ears what you prefer. I would prefer the sound of a good acoustic in a "poor" room. I reserve the right to change my opinion on this, though.
