Martin JC-40

I've been playing long enough to know I should trust my ears and that feeling when you play a guitar you like, but I'm about to plunk down a big chunk o' change AND sell two or three other guitars, so I'm looking for some reassurance...

I tried a bunch of Martin Dreads and Jumbos at a really reputable guitar shop here in L.A. and fell for a used Martin JC-40. Love the balanced sound--not too bassy or trebly when I dig in with a pick.

I'm going to sell a Martin D12-1 (mid nineties 12-string around $1k new) and a Martin 000-15, along with a DeArmond M75T to buy the JC-40 (for $2200).

Am I crazy? Seems like a good deal on the JC-40 and I love the feel and sound of it...

Well... I am a Gearslut, so I bought it! It's fantastic. Martin Jumbos are so different from their Dreads... I'm definitely into the Jumbo!!! :-D

They really are! I never knew an acoustic could sustain like this. Or that recording acoustic could be so easy. It just sounds good no matter what...
