Desiccants to fight humidity in my guitar storage room?

hi gang:
i'm looking into desiccants to fight humidity in my guitar storage room (currently hovering around 65%)... something basic that either comes in its own bag or something i can place in a container and change every so often... i've heard about drierite and damprid.
does anyone have any experience in using these to combat humidity in storage rooms that contain acoustic gear?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
thank you
-Jamie

I'm not familiar with the products you mention, but I would think it would be difficult to keep an accurate and constant humidity level with them.

For an entire room, you are probably best off using an electric dehumidifier, as that should have a built-in hygrometer and will allow you to set the humidity level. You will want it between 40-50% for acoustic guitars.

Otherwise, keep your guitars in their cases and put desiccant packs in the case.

thanks for the responses so far. problem with an electric dehumidifer is that this room is pretty small - it's pretty much a closet (with no power) and it seems to be slightly more humid than the rest of my home/studio (perhaps due to the proximity of water pipes? i'm no expert) and i'd much rather keep my guitars in the closet due to space constraints.
