h2000,
normally for daw work i dont recommend celerons.
i like amd semprons/64's/duals and the new intel core duo processors.
normally for basic desktop daw work i recommend 1 gig ram, plus two hard drives 7200 rpm for desktops ....the fatter the cache the better....i prefer 16 mb cache.
drives are dirt cheap.
i tried rpr on an ath also worked well.
have you the latest rpr version ??,,,,cos i believe the devs updated the performance.
maybe its something machine specific.
list your specs n i'll see if theres anything obvious.
