do you know what kind of music they are looking for? do you know what the project is?...If they are editing it with an AVID or Final Cut I'm sure they know how to put music in and check it out with the video...to make life a little easier on everyone involved it would probably be a good idea to find out the sample rate and the bit rate they are working with and give them AIFF's...most likely it will be 48k/16bit...especially if its indie...

Is this a cold call or do you know somebody there?...the first thing anybody is going to say after you tell them that you are a composer and ask if they need any music for their projects is..."Ok, great, send me your reel"...
