Unless you routinely use a lot of processing when mixing it seems that it is really easy to over-do it and make things be too processed.
As of the last few years I have been purposely not using as much STUFF (processing.)
I am going to get to find out about using less "stuff" because I am about to re-visit some material that I had mixed years ago now that I have a 2" machine again.
I don't have as much outboard as I did at that time and I did tend to use to use it all!
I am specifically going to try a simpler aproach on some stuff and see how it holds up against mixes I sweated over thirteen years (or longer!) ago!
