I've got a pair (not matched) of new AKG C414XLII's that I have mounted on a stereo bar in XY config. I set to Cardoid on both. I mic about 6 inches off the 12th fret. I'm running one into my UA Solo 610 and the other through my Fireface Mic Pre. I have an LA-160 on the way that will replace the Pre on the Fireface. On finger picking I'm getting good results, on strumming, not so good.

Any suggestions?
