If you have pre-amps with reasonably high input impedances, you can just use a "Y" connection.

Else, you can use a "Y" connection on the output of your pre-amp.

Or you could use a TRS with T and R shorted on the insert and run it into the direct in on another channel....

I wouldn't use the DI box myself, but it may work just fine - might as well try it. Just think about what is going on with phantom power if you are using it......
