The DMX R-100 is a digital console, so all "sound" or "audio" inside is digital, including the summing. It has analog inputs and converters, which I use for various things like FX returns, to sum guitar mics to one track, analog inputs for analog outboard gear etc.. I use Nuendo as my "machine" and a RME MADI card as an interface between the Nuendo PC and the rest of the studio, including the way into the consoles.
