I've given up on the writing phrases thing. Every time I start trying to make it say something intelligible, there's a funky tune going by the time I've gotten to the second or third letter! The machine just begs to be tweaked beyond whatever it's doing right now. It takes a lot of self restrain to make something as str8 as normal speech on it. BTW: the most SID'ish sound I've programmed on it was made using a VO patch! The interleaved LFO does the trick.
