group buy looks interesting, though i dont understand the discount, quoting:
"The original price of AirEQ is €219/$269. The initial price of the group buy corresponds to the price with the maximum discount that a participant could obtain, i.e. 60%. Indeed, if the group buy reaches its maximum level, the first participants will get a 50% discount PLUS the additionnal discount of 10% accorded to the first 30 buyers. The maximum discount that can get the 31th to the 100th buyer could also be of 55%.
So, each participant will pay the initial group buy price of €87/$107, and the first participants will not have anthing to pay at the end of the groupbuy if it reaches its maximum level. They will have to pay the complement if the reduction has not reached the maximum level.
And each participant of the group buy will get his plugin after the end of the group buy, after he completed the price amount if it is needed."
Fabrice, could you explain how the discounting works more clearly? it seems from the group buy page,
https://www.eliosound.com/groupbuy
that the price of the aireq will be $107. is that the base price and then there is an additional discount once the group buy's participants are tallied, or will there be an additional cost once the participants are tallied? it seems like the latter from the website's explanation. group buys ive seen in the past have a retail price, say $100 and a chart say 10% off for ten people, 20% off for 20 people and so on but it seems your group buy works a bit differently. either way i will probably be joining in, just wanted to clear this up as it could be a bit confusing to some people such as myself.
